Providing speech and language supports for families in the Peace Region
Meet your SLP
Michelle Hofstrand was born and raised in Fort St. John, BC. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta in 2002. Graduate school took her to St. Cloud, Minnesota and then to Grand Forks, North Dakota where she completed her Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2006 at the University of North Dakota. Michelle returned to the Peace region and worked for School District #60 for 15 years before pursuing her own private practice. Recognizing a shortage of early intervention opportunities and specialists prompted her to focus on younger learners.
Michelle is registered with the BC College of Speech and Hearing Professionals and holds dual membership with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
